A House Full of Giggles

Our house is loud. Daddo has always said this "bothers" him. As the years of parenthood have gone by, our house has gotten louder. But when he walks in the door and is attacked by a bunch of "Hi Daddo!"s, I don't think he's quite so bothered.
Of course as our brood has grown, the noise level has also increased. I don't know if its because we have a cute little baby in our house who everyone wants to sing to and make funny noises with OR if its the equally cute but RAMBUNCTIOUS 2 year old who L.O.V.E.S to hear his own voice.  Another event possibly adding to the loudness in our home is the start of school five weeks ago. Our mornings are the epitomy of the word structure. Clothes laid out, toothbrushes sitting on sink, wake up times set, adults with assigned jobs, Mickey Mouse set to play when 2 yr old wakes up with warm milk cued on microwave.... We are structured enough that we should be able to walk through our morning routine with mere glances and hand gestures we all know it so well... we should. But of course we have to yell our I love you's to the people waking up at the other end of the house and yell other things when there's 30 seconds until the allotted time for the next scheduled out-the-door step.

First Day of Kindergarten and 2nd grade
Whatever the cause, when I say our house is loud it doesn't mean we have a lot of yelling.... well, actually that's not true...... but that's not the only sound echoing through our walls. Laughter, giggles, funny little songs, weird noises with our mouths, a 2 year old who wants to speak as fast as his brothers but in his own little language fighting to be heard..... dinner time prayers (that sometimes have to be yelled over the crying baby who always wants to eat as soon as I make my own plate), potty dance song, and then of course Daddo saying, "This house is too loud," loudly.
So this post is dedicated to the precious loudness in our home. I've tried to record some videos of it recently and will share them below. I love our loud house and wouldn't ever trade it for anything, well quieter.

Daddo doesn't seem too bothered by all THIS loudness...

This is actually a picture of what 'quiet' looks like in our house.  Two minutes (maybe) of Playdough time.
