007 Spy Party

My middle son is obsessed with spies, secret ops, government agencies and any military operations. He has a very large collection of spy gear toys. Everything from night vision, secret code boxes, invisible ink and much more. His obsession started about two years ago and for his birthdays and Christmas 'spy gear' was on his wish list. In May when I was trying to plan his June birthday ( one of three of my kids' birthdays within 3 weeks) all he could tell me was he didn't want another pool party in our back yard. With so many parties to plan, and pay for, I gave him the option of pool party at his house ( 6th one in 7 birthdays) or at the splash park. No rentals and no where HOT. After the $20 rental fee (yes I gave in for a good price) for the pavilion and the splash pad available for cooling off, I figured his choice was a good one. I really don't know how the idea of the spy party started other than me thinking of something he's interested in. This was by far the most fun I've ever had in prepping for a party. I didn't buy or gather my materials until the week of and only went to two stores, Wal Mart and the Dollar Store. I designed all of the signs one morning on my patio with the help of a friend and the rest was just taken to the park. So without further explaining here are pictures from Coles Spy Party with his friends from his Kindergarten class and his baseball team.... I mean secret agents.
First we all had to cool off in the splash pad.

Then it was time for the spy students to start their training. First up was Bomb Training.

We divided up into the Black team and Red team with everyone wearing colored head bands.

After Bomb Training it was off to Sniper Target Practice....

Teams competed against each other...

Next the Spy Students dried off and went to the station for Alias ID Badges and Thumb-printing.

And every good secret spy needs a disguise....

It was a perfect party and perfect timing for my 007 agent...

I.S.S (International Spy School) was a super success!

And secret agent 'Laser Beam' was all smiles.

With a new super secret poster to hang in his room.
